An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a high-caliber, entrepreneurial professional to join the CEO Strategy Office of a top-tier IB group as a Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development. Operating at the core administrative and strategic hub of the firm, this department acts as a powerful steering function with direct authority from top management to evaluate, approve, or halt new business initiatives across all front-line business lines.

The successful candidate will act as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership team, working closely with front-line business units on cross-departmental projects and participating in strategic transactions with key institutional and corporate clients to expand the group's global footprint. This role demands a unique combination of core investment banking or consulting execution capabilities, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a commercial passion for driving artificial intelligence-driven business transformations.

The Role

• Evaluate, review, and perform rigorous due diligence on new business proposals and commercial initiatives submitted by front-line business lines.
• Provide clear analytical recommendations to support senior leadership in approving or blocking front-line initiatives.
• Conduct comprehensive macroeconomic, industry sector, and competitive intelligence research to guide the group's mid-to-long-term corporate positioning and strategy.
• Formulate and execute corporate expansion initiatives, including strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and capital allocations across regional entities.
• Actively participate in high-level deals and structuring conversations with key corporate and institutional clients that drive group-level ecosystem growth.
• Lead internal stakeholder management across front-line execution teams, corporate functions, and cross-border entities to ensure flawless strategic alignment.
• Business Innovation & Artificial Intelligence Commercialization
  • Identify, track, and evaluate emerging artificial intelligence and technology applications from a strictly business and commercial perspective, focusing on value creation, revenue generation, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with the Group Chief Information Officer and technical engineering teams, acting as the commercial bridge to successfully transition group-wide technical artificial intelligence initiatives into live business applications.
• Headquarter Reporting & Corporate Communications
  • Draft institutional-grade strategic reports, board presentations, and business management analytics for top executive management and the Group Headquarters in Mainland China.
  • Support high-level corporate communications, branding initiatives, and governance frameworks to maintain the group's market-leading reputation.

Your Profile

We are targeting seasoned professionals with 10 to 15 years of total experience who fall under one of the following backgrounds:

• Front-line Investment Bankers who possess a genuine, intrinsic motivation to transition into a corporate strategy role, specifically looking for a positive career evolution or transition to back-office.
• Management Consultants from top-tier firms with a highly specialized track record serving investment banking, private equity, venture capital, private credit, or non-bank financial institution clients.
• Corporate Strategy Professionals currently within financial services or major corporates who possess foundational prior experience within investment banking divisions.

Requirements:

• Language Proficiency: Native or professional fluency in spoken Mandarin and English. Impeccable Chinese business writing skills are strictly required due to heavy, frequent reporting commitments to the Mainland Headquarter.
• Commercial AI Literacy: A proven track record of exploring, evaluating, or implementing artificial intelligence applications within a financial or corporate business framework. Must understand technology through a commercial lens rather than a pure information technology or coding perspective.
• Mindset: Highly entrepreneurial, self-driven, and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy in an influential corporate office.
• Technical Toolkit: Advanced financial modeling, institutional-grade presentation drafting, and powerful stakeholder management capabilities.
