Duties
Under the supervision of the Senior Program Manager, the Student and Educational Success Specialist will assist with implementation of the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act ( WIOA ) by co-facilitating program work readiness classes, assisting with client management, participating in outreach activities, determining program eligibility, conducting assessments, providing initial and on-going career counseling, and other support activities of the program. The Student and Education Success Specialist is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.1. Co-facilitates Work Readiness classes, workshops, and related activities by supporting instruction, participant engagement, and program delivery.
2. Conducts client outreach and follow-up communications to support participant engagement, progress, and program completion.
3. Provides administrative and program support, including maintaining records, preparing materials, and participating in team meetings.
4. Administers and proctors basic skills assessments; scores and records results according to established procedures.
5. Supports workshops, activities, and special programming to enhance participant learning and success.
6. Maintains correspondence, participant records, and other documentation in accordance with established filing and record retention procedures.
7. Assists with compiling periodic reports, data summaries, and other departmental materials.
8. Administer and coordinate grant-related activities, including assisting with monitoring projected program goals, benchmarks, and outcomes to determine they are being met.
9. Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or higher required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience required.
- Education/teaching experience with work readiness and financial literacy preferred. Educational training or counseling/guidance and workforce development programs or talent acquisition, preferred. Multilingual Arabic or Spanish skills are welcomed.

Qualifications
The Student and Education Success Specialist must be able to interact professionally with program participants, college staff/administration and outside agencies; have excellent verbal and written communication skills; good organizational skills; experience with or knowledge of educational programs; well-developed presentation skills and job search services; plus, other duties as assigned, including the following.
- Must be able to interact professionally with program participants, college staff/administration, outside agencies and employers.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and provide consistent, high quality work while working under tight deadlines
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to conduct presentations and communicate with large groups.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

General Hours
Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Some evenings or weekends may be required for special events/programming.
Hours may be adjusted for operational needs
Salary/Wage
$48,425-$60,000 plus benefits
