Description
JOB DESCRIPTIONWCVB delivers breaking news to Boston-area audiences 24 hours a day across our television newscasts and digital platforms. As an intern, you will gain firsthand experience inside a fast-paced newsroom, learning how stories are developed, produced, and delivered across multiple platforms. You will be expected to actively contribute to daily operations while building a strong foundation in broadcast journalism. In this role, you will gain experience in the following parts of the sports department:
- Coordinate with local schools, coaches, and athletic departments
- Help gather game information, scores, and story ideas
- Identify/recommend highlights for sports anchors, reporters, and photographers/editors
- Create and publish content for digital and television platforms
- Work alongside experienced sports journalists in a fast-paced newsroom
This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in sports broadcasting while building your editing, producing, and storytelling skills.
