Senior Compliance Manager and Deputy MLRO

cer Financial are working alongside a bank, who are based in the City of London. They are seeking a Senior Compliance Manager and Deputy MLRO to work with them on a permanent basis.

The responsibilities of the Senior Compliance Manager and Deputy MLRO will include:

1. Provide regulatory compliance advice and financial crime expertise.
2. Maintain and enhance the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP).
3. Monitor regulatory changes and update policies, frameworks, and procedures.
4. Support the first line of defence on compliance, AML, CDD, and sanctions matters.
5. Review and approve customer risk assessments and oversee transaction monitoring.
6. Identify, monitor, and mitigate regulatory and compliance risks.
7. Deliver compliance training and communicate regulatory updates.
8. Maintain compliance reporting, KRIs, FCA RegData administration, and management information.
9. Produce compliance communications and newsletters.
10. Support the HoD/MLRO and undertake other compliance duties as required.

The candidate will have:

1. Minimum 7 years' compliance experience, ideally within a wholesale banking environment.
2. Strong knowledge of corporate banking products, regulations, and compliance frameworks.
3. Degree-level education; relevant professional qualifications preferred.
4. Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
5. Ability to balance regulatory risk with commercial objectives.
