Description
OverviewOccano is a premier golf and waterfront community located on the Albemarle Sound in eastern North Carolina.
The Manager of Hospitality & Accommodations is responsible for the day-to-day operation of Occano's lodging program, including guest reservations, Stay & Play packages, guest communications, housekeeping operations, maintenance oversight, front desk administration, and general operational support. This position serves as the primary point of contact for overnight guests and is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience from booking through departure.
The ideal candidate is service-oriented, highly organized, and willing to take ownership of a wide range of hospitality, administrative, and operational responsibilities in a growing resort community.
Background Requirements
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening. Occano participates in E-Verify.
Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in hospitality, lodging, resort, hotel, vacation rental, guest services, or related operations.
- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supervising employees, vendors, and/or service providers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of responsibilities and follow through on tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work onsite 4-5 days per week, including occasional weekends and holidays.
Preferred
- Experience in a golf, resort, club, or Stay & Play environment.
- Experience with Cloudbeds, Breezeway, G1, or similar hospitality software platforms.
- Experience overseeing housekeeping and maintenance operations.
- Experience managing guest reservations and payments.
- Experience supporting employee onboarding, scheduling, or general administrative functions.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage reservations, lodging inventory, guest communications, guest payments, and Stay & Play packages.
- Coordinate tee times and guest activities with golf operations.
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve guest concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Oversee housekeeping operations, including scheduling, inspections, supply ordering, and quality control.
- Supervise two maintenance employees responsible for lodging accommodations and guest-facing facilities.
- Coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, vendor services, property upkeep, and contractor management for lodging operations.
- Manage front desk and administrative functions, including guest arrivals, mail and package deliveries, inventory orders, office support, and serving as a welcoming first point of contact for guests, members, vendors, and prospective property owners.
- Assist with welcoming prospective real estate purchasers, collecting visitor information, and coordinating introductions to the onsite real estate team.
- Maintain guest, reservation, payment, and operational records.
- Assist with budgeting, invoice review, expense tracking, and operational reporting.
- Coordinate employee onboarding requirements and other administrative support for new hires.
- Work closely with golf, food and beverage, events, and real estate teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Support additional hospitality, administrative, and operational initiatives as needed.
- Take ownership of the day-to-day management of Occano's lodging operations and support the evolving needs of the hospitality business.
