Description
OverviewPosition Concept: The Ladies' Program Director, supervised by the Director of Golf will be responsible for the ladies' program by running all ladies' events, attending Ladies' Golf Committee meetings helping guide our ladies' program through another successful season. The Ladies' Program Director will also assist with the development and implementation of the golf instruction program. This position will provide professional instruction including private golf lessons, group clinics and assist with the marketing of new and existing player development programs to The Forest Country Club membership.
Essential Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities - include but are not limited to:
- Manage all aspects of our ladies' program, tournaments and outings for members and their special guests
- Implement and execute all facets of the golf instruction program
- Develop, organize, and implement Club events, tournaments, individual lessons, and seminars on USGA Rules of Golf
- Assist with the development of programming designed to attract new and existing golfers
- Assist with the implementation of a men's and women's instructional program, clinics and team clinics, individual lessons, rules and etiquette
- Complete the requirements of PGA membership and maintain an active classification
- Provide excellent customer services, professional advice, and assistance to all patrons.
- Be informed on, and promote all club activities and services
- Represent The Forest in the highest professional manner
Knowledge, Skills and Traits
- Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, Rules of Golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations
- Fundamental supervisory practices and principles
- Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees
- Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
- Self-motivated with desire to promote and market
- Experienced in written and oral business communications
- Experienced in software applications: Golf Genius, Club Essentials, Excel etc.
- Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the Chapter and Section
- Attend conferences, workshops, meetings, and trade shows to keep up-to-date on marketing and business trends
- Play in Chapter & Section PGA events and remain current on teaching innovations
