Finance Associate | Private Markets Investor (VC & Growth Equity)Washington, DC (Hybrid)
A leading private markets investment firm is seeking a Finance Associate to join its growing operations team. The firm manages multi-billion-dollar assets on behalf of institutional investors, endowments, and family offices, with a strong track record investing across venture capital, growth equity, and emerging strategies.

Finance Associate Overview
As a Finance Associate, you'll play a key role across fund accounting, finance operations, and investor reporting, with meaningful visibility across the organization. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in an entrepreneurial setting.
Finance Associate Key Responsibilities
Finance & Operations
- Support fund expense allocations across multiple vehicles
- Assist in quarterly reporting for funds and SPVs
- Prepare capital call and distribution materials
- Manage cash activity, treasury processes, and reconciliations
- Respond to LP (investor) financial requests and inquiries
- Coordinate data collection from underlying investment managers
Accounting & Compliance
- Assist with annual audits, tax reporting, and regulatory filings
- Lead capital call reconciliations with fund administrators
- Maintain and improve financial data systems and processes
Investor Relations & Reporting
- Manage investor portals and ensure timely updates
- Support LP communications and issue resolution
- Drive process improvements across reporting and operations
Finance Associate Requirements & Qualifications
- 2-6 years of experience in fund accounting, asset management, or allocator environments
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Strong Excel and analytical capabilities
- Experience with private fund structures (capital calls, distributions, NAV, etc.)
- Familiarity with treasury processes and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
- Exposure to or interest in venture capital, growth equity, or emerging sectors (AI, fintech, healthcare, blockchain, etc.)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
