About the role:To manage and oversee the delivery of network and Data Centre capacity builds, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This includes managing current construction and fit-out projects while preparing for customer future expansion plans in the region.
What You'll Do:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of communications infrastructure projects, from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.
- Oversee multiple, concurrent data centre capacity builds, driving the strategic roadmap and ensuring successful delivery.
- Identify and manage construction and technical risks early to maintain project timelines or accelerate completion dates.
- Collaborate with Colocation partners, external supply chain teams, and internal stakeholders across multiple time zones.
- Build and maintain effective relationships, influencing and aligning cross-functional teams to drive results.
- Communicate complex technical and programmatic information clearly to senior leaders and team members.
- Provide program and project management expertise for complex infrastructure initiatives, including network augmentations and data centre builds.
- Identify and schedule project deliverables and milestones, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Track and manage priorities and committed actions, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Seek opportunities to enhance processes, driving ongoing improvement and simplification to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Leverage best practices and emerging technologies in infrastructure, including network, hardware, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% to support data centre builds across the JAPAC region.
What You'll Need:
- Minimum of 9+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
- Proven experience in data centre construction, infrastructure builds.
- Strong knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to data centre infrastructure (network, hardware, mechanical, and electrical systems).
- Program/project management certifications or qualifications with a proven track record of delivering complex programs.
- Excellent communication skills, including high-quality written communications and the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate at all organisational levels and across global teams.
- Ability to inspire confidence in senior leaders and motivate team members.
