Overview
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) invites applications for the position of Donor Relations Operations Assistant (CS26-175) . What You Will Do
The Donor Relations Operations Assistant serves as a key liaison between the SIUE Foundation (SIUEF) , donors, and campus partners, playing an essential role in advancing the Universitys philanthropic mission.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and sustaining professional, positive relationships with donors and internal partners including supporting donor relations and stewardship activities in collaboration with SIUE Foundation and campus stakeholders
- Ensuring accurate processing, tracking, and reconciliation of gifts and revenue
- Maintaining compliance with IRS regulations, SIUE Foundation policies, and University procedures
- Provide guidance to internal units on IRS compliance and fundraising policies, collaborating on event financial plans and ensuring appropriate use of designated funds
- Coordinate and process direct mail communications; including IRS-compliant gift receipts, tribute notifications, pledge reminders and membership renewals
- Managing donor-related records with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree
AND
-Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, non-profit administration, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive donor and internal relationships.
Knowledge of fundraising operations, gift processing, and donor stewardship best practices.
Experience with CRM databases and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with IRS and University policies.
