Overview:
Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep is a Catholic, college preparatory school for students from households of low to moderate income. Cristo Rey Dallas nurtures and challenges young women and men of all faiths to recognize and realize their full potential as they grow to love God, respect others and serve their community. Each student participates in the Corporate Work Study Program which offers a weekly work study experience for all four years.
Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep seeks a dynamic and relationship-driven Development Manager to lead the planning, execution, and growth of fundraising events and volunteer engagement efforts. This role is critical to advancing the school’s mission by driving event revenue, strengthening community relationships, and building a robust network of engaged volunteers and supporters.
The Development Manager will oversee Cristo Rey Dallas’s signature events, including Grow the Grove, Cristo Clays, and the CEO Breakfast, while developing strategies to increase participation, sponsorship, and long-term volunteer engagement.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Event Strategy & Execution (40%)
Lead the planning and execution of all fundraising events, including Grow the Grove gala, Cristo Clays, CEO Breakfast, and other cultivation events
Establish revenue goals, budgets, timelines, and key performance metrics for each event
Identify, cultivate, and secure event sponsorships and table hosts
Collaborate with marketing to drive attendance, sponsorship visibility, and overall event success
Evaluate event performance and implement improvements to increase revenue and engagement year over year
Ensure high-quality, mission-driven experiences for all attendees
Volunteer & Committee Management (25%)
Recruit, train, and manage volunteer leaders and event committees
Build and sustain a structured volunteer program that supports fundraising and engagement goals
Lead the development and management of volunteer committees for Grow the Grove, Cristo Clays, and Cristo Rey Dallas’s Alumni and Young Professionals groups
Serve as the primary liaison for event chairs, committees, and key volunteers
Foster a culture of philanthropy and deepen volunteer engagement with Cristo Rey Dallas
Donor & Sponsor Engagement (20%)
Cultivate and steward relationships with event sponsors, table hosts, and key supporters
Support donor engagement strategies by connecting event participation to broader giving opportunities
Partner with the development team to identify and transition event participants into long-term donors
Corporate & Community Engagement (10%)
Leverage events to build relationships with corporate partners and community stakeholders
Collaborate and support strategies that expand Cristo Rey Dallas’s presence and visibility across the Dallas community
Team Collaboration & Operations (5%)
Collaborate with the Development team to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of event revenue and engagement
Work closely with marketing/communications on event messaging, promotions, and materials
Partner with finance to manage budgets, reconcile revenue, and ensure accurate reporting
Maintain accurate records of sponsors, attendees, and volunteers within DonorPerfect (CRM), and support event execution using tools such as Murad Auctions for live auctions and event management

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
3–5+ years of experience in nonprofit development, with a strong focus on event fundraising and/or volunteer management
Proven success in planning and executing fundraising events and achieving revenue goals
Experience working with volunteers, committees, and/or boards
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Interact with donors, volunteers, students, parents, staff and visitors
Work at a desk and computer screen
