The Community Engagement Manager is responsible for implementing and managing a comprehensive communications and community engagement plan with special event and fundraising components. Job duties include managing social media, website, creating and distributing press releases and other communication pieces, and overseeing the CCC Teen Board (with the assistance of a Teen Board Intern). Additional responsibilities include planning and executing an annual fundraising event for CCC, securing and coordinating individual and corporate Back2School and Joy4Kids donors, and coordinating drives for in-kind donations. Position reports to the Executive Director.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive social media and communications plan
Direct all aspects of the Teen Board, including selection process, meetings, and fundraising events
Represent CCC in the community, network with community groups, and maintain current knowledge of community resources
Collaborate with fundraising committee to plan and implement an annual fundraising event, including venue, sponsors, program, print materials, etc.
Participate in public speaking engagements and United Way of Central Oklahoma Partner Agency activities on behalf of CCC
Direct communications strategy and production of collateral materials, such as direct mailings and brochures
Oversee website development and content
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven experience in communications, social media, special events
Effective organizational skills
Outstanding skills in interpersonal communication and community relations
Exemplary character
Excellent knowledge of office management and computer skills especially Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and basic graphic design
Excellent public speaker and oral communicator
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Degree and/or relevant experience preferred
Additional Details
Full-time (40 hours/week)
Compensation is $20/hour
This is an in-office position located at 730 W Wilshire Creek Blvd, Ste 112, in Oklahoma City, with no remote work opportunities.
