Job Description:
Budget Title: Staff Assistant (SL-2)
Salary: $52,000 - $54,000
The Operations and Box Office Assistant provides administrative, operational, and marketing support for the Anderson Center for the Performing Arts. This position supports box office operations, event coordination, student employee supervision, marketing initiatives, and departmental administration while serving as a backup for several operational functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise, schedule, train, and approve timesheets for Box Office student employees.
- Process ticket sales, customer transactions, bank deposits, and assist with box office accounting; serve as backup to the Box Office Manager.
- Coordinate ticketing and event support with campus departments and performance partners.
- Assist the Operations Director with event coordination, production meetings, house management scheduling, ARTSCORP volunteer scheduling, service requests, purchasing, HR paperwork, donor correspondence, and other administrative functions.
- Support the Marketing Director by creating and editing photography, video, social media content, television advertisements, website updates, digital signage, and other promotional materials for Anderson Center, Music, and Theatre events.
- Serve as photographer and videographer for Anderson Center Series performances and other departmental events.
- Provide cross-functional support by serving as a backup to the Director of Marketing, Operations Director, and House Operations Director.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to supervise and train student employees
- Experience with ticketing systems, administrative processes, and/or financial transactions
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google and/or other office software
- Experience creating digital marketing content, including photography, videography, and social media
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or related field
- Experience with ArtsPeople ticketing software
- Experience with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premier Pro, and/or Adobe After Effects photo editing software
- Experience with mirrorless cameras and associated equipment
- Experience with Apple products and equipment
