Royal Oaks Country Club offers a unique opportunity for an aspiring PGA Professional to develop their career in one of the premier golf environments in North Texas. Royal Oaks is home to Hall of Famer, Randy Smith, PGA and PGA TOUR professionals Scottie Scheffler and Si Woo Kim, providing a golf culture unlike most private clubs in the country. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn in a high-level private club operation while building experience in tournament administration, teaching,
merchandising, member engagement, golf operations and professional development.

Position Overview
The Golf Professional will share in the administration of all aspects of the daily golf operation and will be a highly visible member of the professional staff. This individual should be relationship-oriented, service-minded and eager to take ownership of responsibilities while continuing to grow as a PGA Professional.
The position reports to PGA Director of Golf, Dean Larsson, and PGA Head Professional Abe Hernandez, working closely with the entire golf professional team. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to a collaborative staff culture and to help create exceptional golf experiences for Royal Oaks members and guests.
Experience Required
Qualifications
- PGA Class A membership preferred.
- Strong team-player mentality with a genuine willingness to serve members, guests and fellow staff members.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experienced teaching background preferred.
- Proficiency in Golf Genius and working knowledge of GHIN preferred.
- Club fitting experience helpful.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced private club environment.
- Professional appearance, sound judgment and a desire to continually learn and improve.
- Availability to work a schedule consistent with the demands of a premier private club, including weekends, holidays and tournament operations.
Essential Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in administering all aspects of the daily golf operation and provide consistently exceptional service to members and guests.
- Assist with Men's, Women's and Senior Golf Association activities, member tournaments, club championships, outings and other golf events.
- Tournament administration, including event planning, registration, pairings, scoring, communications and Golf Genius operations.
- Help lead the club's active junior golf program, including clinics, instruction, events and player development initiatives.
- Teach individual and group lessons to players of all ages and abilities and actively develop positive teaching relationships with the membership.
- Support the merchandiser and assist with all aspects of merchandising, including member service, special orders, displays, inventory and day-to-day golf shop operations.
- Assist with tee-sheet management, handicapping and GHIN-related responsibilities, practice facility operations, pace-of-play initiatives and other golf operations as assigned.
- Provide club fitting services and assist members with equipment recommendations.
- Help supervise, train and develop outside services, interns, seasonal staff or other golf operations team members as assigned.
- Play golf with members on a consistent basis as an important component of relationship building and member engagement.
- Represent Royal Oaks professionally through participation in Northern Texas PGA tournaments, education and other PGA activities, as schedules permit.

Royal Oaks is seeking a professional who views this position as an important step in a long-term career in the golf industry. The club is committed to helping its professionals develop the operational, leadership, teaching, tournament and member-service skills necessary to advance into future Head Golf Professional, Director of Golf and other leadership positions.
The successful candidate will be encouraged to remain active within the PGA of America and the Northern Texas PGA through education, tournament participation and other professional-development opportunities.
