The selected candidate will conduct basic or applied research and supervise master's and doctoral theses in the field of telecommunications. They will be expected to contribute to teaching graduate courses; however, our teaching load is relatively low compared to Mexican standards, allowing for a focus on research. A doctorate in communications engineering or related disciplines is required. Postdoctoral or professional experience in research or technological development directly related to telecommunications is valued. We are seeking professionals in, among others, wireless and mobile communications, computer networks, high-frequency and microwave electronics, artificial intelligence applied to communications, and internet technologies. The Center for Research and Advanced Studies (Cinvestav) is a decentralized public organization headquartered in Mexico City. Its functions include training specialists at the graduate level and conducting scientific and technological research. It is a leading research institution in Mexico and Latin America, and internationally competitive.
