In accordance with § 94 Sec. 2 subpara. 1 of the 2002 Austrian Universities Act, the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at the Johannes Kepler University Linz announces a faculty opening for a University Professor for RF-Systems
The Institute for Communications Engineering and RF-Systems at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Johannes Kepler University Linz invites applications for a permanent professorship position under private law for a Professor for RF-Systems to begin immediately. The appointment is in accordance with § 98 of the Austrian Universities Act.
We are looking for a personality with an outstanding scientific track record in the field of RF-systems.
The successful candidate is expected to represent and further develop the field of RF-systems in research and teaching. Applicants for the position must have a venia docendi (habilitation degree) or a comparable post-doctorate qualification in the academic field. A salary above the minimum amount (which is currently 92.460,20 € before taxes) as stated in the collective agreement will be voluntarily offered.

Requirements
The professorship for “RF-Systems” is to be filled in the Department of RF-Systems at the Institute of Communications Engineering and RF-Systems. The successful candidate is expected to take over the management of the department. The department's teaching responsibilities currently include covering the relevant teaching in the degree programs Mechatronics, Electronics and Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence.
The Institute of Communications Engineering and RF-Systems has a modern radio-frequency laboratory that is available to both the Department of RF-Systems and the Department of Communications Engineering. It is expected that this laboratory will continue to be co-organized and further developed by the future chair holder.
