Want to cover sports in the shadows of Notre Dame? The South Bend market's #1 station is looking for you. WSBT has an exciting opportunity for a full time Weekend Sports Anchor / Reporter! In this role, you will be required to produce and anchor weekend sportscasts while also producing unique local sports content during the week. WSBT is not only committed to aggressively covering Notre Dame, but this sports department also prioritizes local high school athletics. In addition to our on-air product, WSBT is also committed to content on all digital and social media platforms. Candidate also needs strong photojournalism and editing skills. The ability to work under deadline and on a flexible schedule is needed.

Skills and Experience:

• A self-starter and who can generate his or her own story ideas on a daily basis
• Ability to demonstrate enterprise sports reporting and creativity in storytelling
• Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to maintain an active social media presence to build your brand and solicit original story ideas

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Previous sports experience is preferred
• Strong photojournalism skills
• Live shot experience is preferred
• Previous experience working in a team environment is important
