Job Summary The Sr. Social Media Specialist is responsible for developing and executing proactive social media content strategies that advance the organization's brand voice, leading employee advocacy initiatives, and serving as the primary educator for social media best practices across the organization. This role drives strategic content planning, mentors team members and stakeholders on social media strategy, and identifies emerging opportunities to enhance organizational social media presence and impact. Essential Functions of the Role • Develops and executes proactive social media content strategies and campaigns that strengthen brand voice, increase audience engagement, and support organizational communication objectives across all digital platforms, applying platform-specific best practices and audience-first optimization. • Serves as the brand social content lead, creating and maintaining integrated editorial calendars and content schedules that align with organizational priorities, seasonal campaigns, and digital marketing initiatives. • Proactively identifies opportunities to enhance social media impact against organizational goals. • Analyzes performance metrics and audience insights to refine content strategies, demonstrate return on investment, and present data-driven recommendations to leadership. • Leads the evaluation, piloting, and implementation of emerging social media tools, platforms, and content formats to expand digital capabilities and reach new audiences. • Collaborates with content teams, cross-functional partners, and external vendors to develop integrated campaigns that support overarching communication themes and organizational goals. • Creates educational resources, toolkits, and training materials that enable stakeholders to effectively participate in organizational social media initiatives. • Trains and advises physicians, executives, and staff on social media best practices, content creation, and platform usage to build organizational digital competency and thought leadership. • Designs, implements, and manages employee advocacy programs that empower staff to amplify organizational messaging and build authentic connections with their networks. • Mentors team members and contributors on social media strategy, content creation, and best practices to elevate the quality and consistency of organizational digital presence. • Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner, including flexibility to support organizational events and initiatives as needed and willingness to travel as required. *KEY SUCCESS FACTORS* • Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications, digital media, public relations, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Four or more years of experience in social media strategy and content development preferred. Experience in healthcare, hospital systems, or complex organizations preferred. • Demonstrated strategic thinking abilities with proven track record of independently identifying opportunities, developing solutions, and executing initiatives from concept through completion with minimal supervision and consistent follow-through. • Self-starter with strong ownership mentality who produces high-quality, polished work that meets brand standards on first submission, demonstrating attention to detail, accountability, and commitment to excellence without requiring repeated revisions or follow-up. • Advanced proficiency with social media analytics platforms and ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations preferred. Experience with social media management and publishing platforms, content management systems, and employee advocacy platforms required. • Expert-level written, verbal, and visual communication skills with strong content development capabilities across multiple formats and channels preferred. Proven ability to design and deliver effective training programs for diverse audiences including executives and clinical staff preferred. • Experience with graphic design tools and presentation software preferred. Proficiency with digital collaboration and project management tools preferred. • Strong project management abilities with track record of managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines consistently, and coordinating cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments while maintaining quality standards preferred. • Knowledge of emerging social media trends, platform algorithms, and content best practices with ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain consistent brand voice preferred. *QUALIFICATIONS* * EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification * EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience * Hybrid expectation: limited local travel to BSW facilities (for example, filming physicians or capturing photos at events maybe once or twice a month). For that reason, we prefer candidates who are physically located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area
