Our client, a leading trade association, is looking to hire a Research Officer to join its Brussels based research team. This is a great opportunity for an early career professional to begin their journey in a dynamic and international setting. What the job involves

• Handling information requests from members related to statistics and market trends
• Conducting desk research and creating presentations for internal and external use such as conferences, speeches, or interviews
• Monitoring external research articles and publications on the private equity industry as well as wider economic factors effecting it
• Creating, maintaining, and updating data files on industry-related topics
• Coordinating the deliverables of internal or external teams collecting pan-European private equity industry statistics (survey processes)
• Writing, editing, and reviewing research deliverables (reports, presentations, and datasets) used by public affairs and communications teams for awareness campaigns or other lobbying and regulatory affairs purposes

Who we are looking for

• An internship or a first year of experience in a financial or professional services environment
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, PowerPivot, and power query)
• Additional knowledge of Power BI or Power Automate is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills, especially in writing, editing, and drafting
• Strong interpersonal skills and being a team player is essential
• Knowledge of the private equity industry is advantageous
• Fluent in written and spoken English
