Position Description:
The University of Louisville (UofL) seeks a qualified and experienced Project Specialist to work on a 2-year grant from University of West Florida in collaboration with NSA/NCAE. The successful candidate will assist in coordinating all aspects of the subaward agreement to train/recruit/place participants from Cybersecurity programs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with multi-year projects, work-based learning, and program support in a higher education setting. This position is a full-time, benefited position that continues is based on subaward contract 2025-2027.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Development and Coordination:
- Supports the placement of students/participants who have completed U of L cybersecurity module. Work on coordinating student/participant placement in positions as well as apprenticeship programs by identifying and referring eligible students to participating employers.
- Report generating, dashboard inputting, streamlining processes.
- Assists the recruiters with the development and maintenance of employer relationships to promote the creation and expansion of apprenticeship programs.
- Promotes a positive work experience for students before and after placement, through consistent follow-up activities, coaching and coordination of supporting resources.
- Works with students and employers to track and document program outcome data and assists in the compilation of grant reports.
- Promote the Cybersecurity pathways program modules in the community by supporting the creation and delivery of presentations, assisting in coordinating special events, and representing the subaward in professional organizations as needed.
- Ability to work within prepared position guidelines but agile enough to seize opportunities unique to the program offerings and meet individual needs for students.
- Contributes to the overall success of the program by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Program Materials and Communication:
- Responsible for supporting the leadership team in the development and maintenance of resources, processes, and materials necessary for successful program execution.
- Helps in crafting and delivering communications to students, faculty, staff, employers, and community organizations
- Helps manage program website, social media accounts, etc.
- Academic Affairs Support:
- Works collaboratively with academic faculty and staff to align Cybersecurity programs to larger University efforts.
- Support academic staff in advancing work-based learning (WBL) and competency-based education (CBE) delivery throughout the University and the subaward coalition members as well.
- Process U of L micro-credential badging system.
- Ability to communicate within a complex university system in a fast-paced, high-performance level environment with excellent oral, written and virtual presentation capability to forward grant initiatives.
- Ability to represent and support an academic unit and its leadership in varied settings and activities, including assistance with efforts to market, recruit, and garner interest in the project with external partners as needed.

- Experience working with apprenticeships or other work-based learning job placement programs
- Awareness of CRMs and other data-based approaches to recording and analyzing data
- Demonstrated commitment to successfully supporting students.

- Demonstrated commitment to stewarding government and university resources.
- Demonstrated commitment to issues of equity, social justice, diversity, and to supporting students from multicultural communities and backgrounds.
Competencies
- Project coordination: Able to coordinate multiple project stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access)
Target Compensation Maximum:
$70,623.00
Target Compensation Minimum:
$47,048.00
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
