About the Role

WGRZ, the TEGNA-owned NBC affiliate in Buffalo, NY is seeking an innovative Producer who doesn't just stack shows but innovates in their studio storytelling to shape our daily newscasts. At WGRZ 2 On Your Side, we build creative shows that engage, educate and inform our audiences.We prioritize original storytelling and investigative journalism as key components of our newscasts to set our product apart in the Buffalo market. We are committed to holding the powerful accountable while keeping Western New York informed.

$28.50-$30 USD

Requirements

• Solid journalistic judgement and a news philosophy that emphasizes accurate, fair and unique local content, along with community engagement.?
• Understanding of the tenets of professional journalism.
• Skills in producing engaging, content-driven newscasts and digital content.
• Strong social media skills, including an active news hound presence on your preferred social platforms.?

Experience

• Bachelor's degree preferred in journalism, communications or related field.
• 1-3 years of news content experience.
• Top-notch communication skills are an absolute must.
