Job Summary/Description:

WECT is looking for a driven, creative photojournalist/videographer to join our award-winning news team. Whether you're a seasoned shooter or just launching your career, this is your opportunity to make an impact in one of the most dynamic fields in media. This is a full-time, entry-level-friendly position - ideal for someone hungry to grow, learn, and build a career in broadcast journalism.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

What You'll Do:- Capture the story - Gather compelling video, conduct interviews, and collect information in the field
- Edit with purpose - Cut and package content for broadcast, digital, and social platforms
- Go live - Set up and execute live shots that put viewers at the center of breaking news
- Collaborate and lead - Work both independently in the field and as a key contributor to the news team

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a passion for storytelling
- Strong communication skills - on the phone, in the field, and in the edit bay
- Ability to thrive under deadline pressure, both solo and as part of a team
- Experience in news or video shooting/editing is a plus - but not required
- Valid driver's license
