JOB DESCRIPTIONRole Summary
The Multiplatform Producer will create dynamic content across digital platforms as well as ensure seamless live broadcasts of Chronicle, the nation's longest-running, locally-produced news magazine show. This producer will play a critical role in Chronicle's evolution as a multiplatform brand and will have a dual focus on both broadcast coordination and digital assets. The Multiplatform Producer will bring to the role curiosity, creativity, and a nose for a great story, along with an eagerness to stay current with digital content trends. You will report to the Managing Editor, Chronicle.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce the nightly Chronicle live broadcast, including rundown management, graphic orders, show timing, quality control, as well as booth-producing.
- Create and publish original digital-first content, including social media videos (reels, TikToks, YouTube shorts) and vertical content.
- Manage post-show publishing workflow, including uploading nightly episodes and clips to WCVB.com.
- Maintain weekly program listings and contribute to Very Local publishing pipelines.
- Provide operational and field support to producers during remote shoots or specials.
- Handle some administrative duties as needed (e.g., music reports, equipment, scheduling, intern supervision).
Required Qualifications
- Professional experience in TV production and/or digital content creation.
- Video editing and production experience.
- Experience with newsroom rundown systems and broadcast control rooms.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of, and commitment to, journalistic standards and ethics.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively and adapt to fast-paced environments.
- Evening availability (shift is 12:30p-8:30p)

Salary
The estimated base salary range for this role is between $60,000 and $70,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, including geographic location where the work will be performed, and other factors permitted by law. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
