Matrix Midwest is St. Louis' only free and independent sports and entertainment network. Matrix Midwest is the home of the Mizzou Tigers, CBC Football, The Fight with Karraker & Company, Offside Hockey with Kerbs & Amy, and more. You'll work from KMOV's new, multi-million-dollar, state-of-the-art broadcasting and digital facility, located in Maryland Heights, MO.

Job Summary/Description:

The Matrix Midwest Senior Digital Producer - Sports will be responsible for growing the digital brand for the website, mobile app, and social media pages. In this role, you will be responsible for creating social media content to promote current programming, writing articles pertaining to games and current sporting news, editing videos for digital platforms, and more. The right candidate will work alongside various members of the Matrix Midwest team to bring the best sports content to all digital platforms.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Real-time game coverage of a variety of sports for digital properties
* Clip videos from Matrix Midwest programming for all digital properties
* Ensure the latest sports news is posted across all digital properties
* Write AP-style stories for the Matrix Midwest website and news app
* Create social media graphics and videos for Matrix Midwest social pages
* Create unique content to promote the Matrix Midwest brand and the latest sports news

Qualifications/Requirements:

* Degree with a major in either Journalism or Communications
* At least 3 years working in a digital writer and/or sports reporter role
* A genuine interest, love, and knowledge of sports and current sports events
* Knowledge of Associated Press-style writing; excellent writing skills
* Experience with Canva, Adobe, and/ or Edius
* Working understanding of social media platforms
* Flexible schedule required, as hours will include nights and weekends.
