Job Summary/Description:
Live 5 News is looking for an investigative/ special projects producer/photographer to help with our award-winning investigative team. We are looking for a strong journalist with an investigative background. This position will be someone who researches, field produces, and helps shoot investigative stories & specials. They will work with management, reporters, and anchors to develop and provide high-quality content for targeted specialized reports as well as our daily newscasts.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
This position will also be responsible for:
* Conceptualizing & scheduling targeted special reports
* Making & tracking FOIA requests
* Producing specials, podcasts, OTT segments as needed
* Some photography as needed for investigative stories
Qualifications/Requirements:
* An ideal candidate should have at least 2 years' experience as a producer, MMJ, or Online journalist.
* The successful applicant's background must include, at a minimum, a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism or a related field.
