Description
OverviewPine Island Country Club is a family-oriented Country Club conveniently located on the west side of Charlotte North Carolina. Almost 60% of our members are under 40 years old and truly enjoy each other and spending quality time at their club. We have 3 young assistant professionals committed to the club and are thirsty to learn from a committed mentor. We are committed to finding a talented professional who wants to focus on creating a fun, personalized and energetic environment for our members while building a culture of developing their staff.
We have a unique governance model. We are owned by Larry and Mike Griffin who grew up on the course 50 years ago and purchased PICC in 2006. We are a for-profit entity, but the health of the club and member experience are top priorities.
Due to our young demographic, we are very active on the weekends and quiet on the weekdays. Our competitive tournaments are extremely well attended and have numerous fun events throughout the year that are also popular. One of our biggest events is our Wednesday Night Match Play Men's League that runs 19 weeks, plus playoffs with 100+ members involved.
While we are not there yet, we are committed to a very active learning environment with lessons, clinics and camps. Our juniors are just beginning to get to the age to start learning the game and we will have an extremely dynamic and focused junior program. For women, we have won interclub gross the past two years with 5 members with Division I college experience. That said, we have several young spouses very interested in learning the game.
Lastly, we have a tremendous young Golf Course Superintendent and a energetic staff committed to doing something truly special for our members and their invited guests. We are looking for "the right fit" to lead our golf operation.
