Description
OverviewAbout the Club:
Founded in 1902, Pine Grove Country Club is one of the oldest clubs in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Pine Grove offers a quality course in a pristine Northwoods environment. Located on the outskirts of the city of Iron Mountain, the course weaves through stands of old growth white and red pine, oaks and maples. The challenging terrain features an 84-foot elevation change, lending to spectacular views. Five sets of tees offer options for all levels of golf. Open play is available to guests Thursday through Monday. Non-member play is restricted to five times per year. Pine Grove is a semi-private golf club, offering both golf and social membership. Golf memberships are capped at 450 to protect the integrity of the course. There are 20,000 rounds of golf played annually.
In 2002, a new clubhouse was constructed. The 20,000 square-foot structure offers comfortable lounge and dining options for members and guests, as well as meeting and banquet space for special events. An excellent management staff is in place to see that operations run smoothly, from daily member services to large events.
Golf amenities include a driving range, 2 golf simulators, a pro shop with a full line of merchandise, golf club storage, shed and underground cart storage and locker rooms for men and ladies. Events and tournaments are offered throughout the golf season.
A seven-person board of directors governs the Club. Directors are elected by golf members and serve three-year terms. Directors supervise operations which are carried out by the golf professional, course superintendent, food and beverage manager and office manager.
