Description
Become an integral part of the Corporate Responsibility (CR) team where you will have an opportunity to work alongside a team of dedicated professionals focused on generating authentic and durable social impact. The CR Division is responsible for the development and implementation of the firm's CR agenda by crafting goals, policies, and initiatives that align with and support the firm's business strategies, reflect our values, and support the communities where we do business. The Division includes Global Philanthropy, Public Engagement, Global Government Relations, the PolicyCenter, the JPMorganChase Institute, and Sustainability. The Global Philanthropy team consists of Employee Engagement & Volunteerism, Impact Finance, and the Foundation teams at the national and local levels.As a Global Philanthropy Manager on our Global Philanthropy Housing Access and Affordability team in Corporate Responsibility, you will lead complex grantmaking, design and implement high-quality qualitative and quantitative impact analyses, synthesize key insights, communicate best practices with senior stakeholders, and manage strategic third-party partners. You will collaborate with many teams across the firm, along with external partners, to design and drive a national firm-wide housing strategy. This role reports to the Head of Housing Access and Affordability.
Job Responsibilities:
- Have a strong understanding of housing stability, supply, and homeownership strategies
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop housing strategies aligned to the firm's business priorities and CR's social impact agenda
- Develop and maintain a productive network of professional relationships with key government, philanthropic, business, and nonprofit leaders
- Monitor social, political and economic trends that may impact national strategies and/or philanthropic activities
- Think creatively about the firm's assets and tools, identify opportunities for firmwide collaboration to drive impact
- Lead engagement with internal JPMorganChase stakeholders, including line of business leaders, cross-CR partners, and other functional partners such as communications
- Communicate the firm's approach to housing access and affordability to multiple internal constituencies
- Develop, manage and execute philanthropic programs end-to-end (from concept design and budgeting, approval process, execution to program closing), in collaboration with community partners, that advance the firm's impact objectives
- Provide robust budget management to maximize value of philanthropic activities
- Understand the risk profile of the grant portfolio and propose the right level of mitigation; escalate controls issues with partners appropriately
- Monitor grant progress and use insights from performance to shape future direct strategy; plan convening, evaluation and communications activities to amplify impact
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in program development, implementation, strategy, and/or policy in nonprofit, corporate, and/or government environment
- Strong background in housing, economic mobility, and other related financial services social impact issues.
- Passion for Global Philanthropy's mission; deep knowledge of and experience in economic inclusion, with a focus on issues related to affordable housing
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about solving structural issues, as well as program design and implementation
- Understanding of grant making and the nonprofit sector; ability to assess track record and capacity of nonprofit organizations
- Excellent relationship management and people skills; ability to communicate (verbal and written) complex ideas and professional perspective to diverse audiences
- Creative, flexible, and collaborative with an ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrate a high-degree of initiative; results-oriented
- Bachelor's degree required
