Office: Office of Communications and MarketingReports to: Associate Vice President for Communications and Marketing
Work Period: 12-month
Hours: Full-time

General Summary: Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communications and working in close partnership with the Vice President of Advancement, this role will play a critical role in the design and implementation of key fundraising communications. Develops and executes communication strategies that inspire donor engagement, alumnae connection, and philanthropic support. Works ensure consistent messaging across all platforms in support of alumnae engagement and fundraising goals and institutional storytelling.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop, manage and execute effective strategic marketing and communications strategies and plans for that advance philanthropic goals and priorities of the College.
- Leads content creation and audience outreach to support philanthropic goals of the College including impact stories, impact reports, and fundraising communications, ensuring that all materials effectively highlight the transformative work of Agnes Scott. This includes collaborating with key stakeholders to gather compelling narratives and data, crafting content that resonates with diverse audiences, and maintaining consistency in tone and messaging.
- Conceptualizes and coordinates major giving proposals, giving day campaigns, and stewardship materials by partnering with fundraisers, designers, and project managers to create persuasive and visually engaging presentations and collateral.
- Aligns messaging with brand strategy and fundraising priorities by working closely with the communications and marketing colleagues to integrate donor-centric language and visuals into existing brand guidelines.
- Contributes to Agnes Scott the Magazine, specifically alumnae and donor-focused content, by brainstorming story ideas, contributing to editorial planning, and supporting content that strengthens donor and alumnae engagement.
- Serve as liaison between Advancement and the Office of Marketing and Communications.
- Oversee and mentor students, interns and contractual staff and vendors as applicable.
- Attends meetings and special events as a representative of the College as requested.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism or a related field.
Experience: minimum of 5 years in advancement or campaign communications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Skilled in persuasive storytelling and donor-centric messaging.
- Ability to translate complex programs into compelling narratives.
- Understanding of fundraising strategies and advancement timelines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with excellent presentation skills.
- Demonstrate essential skills in writing, editing and crafting messaging consistent with the College's voice and brand identity.
- Ability to work well with all campus constituencies
- Demonstrated ability to manage a heavy workload and multiple and complex priorities
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, walking, and occasional moving of light objects. Work is performed in an office.
