China Business Development

Location: Shanghai

Our client is a global systematic hedge fund, seeking a Business Development professional to support active business development in China, with a focus on institutional / distributional investors and quant products.

Responsibilities

• Drive fundraising with China-based institutional investors (banks, insurers, securities firms, FoFs, family offices, etc.).
• Leverage and expand relationships with local distributors and strategic partners.
• Proactively source new business opportunities and represent the firm in investor meetings and industry events.
• Manage ongoing investor relationships and support due diligence and communications.
• Work closely with global teams on market strategy and local positioning.

Requirements

• 7+ years' experience in institutional sales, fundraising, or business development within asset management or alternatives.
• Strong network with China institutions and/or distribution channels.
• Proven fundraising experience for hedge funds or alternative strategies preferred.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English.
• Self-driven, commercial, and comfortable in a hands-on, growth-oriented role.
