Description
We are currently partnering with a leading High-Frequency Trading firm who have a global presence and a rapidly growing in Singapore.This role will manage trading strategies in real time, including starting and stopping binaries, executing intraday trades, and handling broker and exchange interactions across multiple venues. Acting as the first line of defense during live trading, the successful candidate will coordinate with Quant, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Business Development teams to ensure strategies run smoothly and safely. This role will contribute towards the Quant teams ability to focus on research, and Tech teams on development, while ensuring flawless execution in the markets
This role will be responsible for supporting the following:
- Provide real-time oversight and execution control of all live trading strategies across markets, including starting/stopping binaries and managing intraday executions.
- Act as the first line of defence during live trading, responding to alerts, rejects, trade breaks and broker/exchange communications, and coordinating rapid resolution across internal teams.
- Monitor intraday P&L, risk exposures and limits, partnering closely with the Risk team on escalations, limit changes and market anomalies.
- Manage broker and exchange interactions, including borrows/locates, margin calls, collateral movements and cash transfers.
- Lead incident response during live issues or outages, coordinating with Core, Connectivity and Technology teams to minimise disruption and downtime.
- Execute manual or risk-reducing trades when required and perform broader Trading Controller responsibilities to ensure safe and orderly markets.
- Drive automation, tooling and process improvements to enhance execution resilience, operational efficiency and overall trading performance
To be eligible for this role you will require:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Business Analytics, or a related STEM field.
- 2+ years of programming experience in Python or C++, with exposure to large-scale data analysis; exceptional candidates coming straight from university with relevant internship experience will also be considered.
- Ability to communicate complex quantitative insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong judgment and decisiveness in fast-moving, high-pressure market environments.
