The Strategy Group is one of the nation’s leading Democratic narrowcast communications firms. Specializing in direct mail and working with numerous organizations, party committees, and candidates, The Strategy Group has worked to elect multiple Presidents, Governors, US Senators, Members of Congress, and state legislators for over 30 years from our offices in California, Chicago, Ohio, and Washington, DC.
We are hiring Production Associates in our Chicago and Washington, DC, offices for the 2026 election cycle. The cyclical position is in-office.
About You
You have an enthusiasm for electing Democrats at all levels of the ballot. You are organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to complete projects both individually and as part of a team. You know how to juggle moving pieces and can manage multiple projects at any given time. You love checking things off your list and finding creative ways to get things done.
About the Position
Production Associates play a key role in our work to elect Democrats and advance progressive goals. Production Associates are responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Overseeing the production process for direct mail pieces and ensuring they are designed, produced, and delivered to voters on schedule.
- Working directly with clients, senior staff, and designers to ensure that design edits are made in a timely and accurate manner.
- Serving as a liaison with company vendors, including printers and photographers.
- Collecting and formatting election results and other electoral data.
- Assisting staff with writing and formatting of campaign mail plans, budgets, prospective client pitches, and other presentations.
- Cataloging photos in our database.
- Ad-hoc research projects.
- Filing/basic office administration tasks.
Requirements
- Commitment to Democratic causes, ideas, and leaders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Mac OS X and Microsoft Office Suite proficient
Preferred
- History working with political campaigns or causes (volunteering counts!).
- Experience using VoteBuilder/NGP/TargetSmart.
