Description
Bring your transformational leadership to drive strategic initiatives, operational governance, and measurable outcomes.As a Benefits Operations Leader within the Asia Pacific Benefits Operations team, you lead a high‑performing team to deliver consistent, compliant, and efficient benefits services across the region. You drive strategic initiatives, challenge and improve processes, and provide strong governance and controls. You partner with stakeholders at all levels to manage vendors, resolve issues, and elevate the employee experience. You use data and metrics to guide decisions and ensure resiliency and continuity across operations.
Job responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Asia Pacific benefits operations team to meet service levels and deliver planned outcomes.
- Govern regulatory compliance and controls across monthly, quarterly, and annual obligations; oversee audit readiness and responses.
- Manage third‑party vendors, SLAs, and service delivery for employee benefits products and services.
- Own end‑to‑end benefits processes for statutory and regulatory obligations and company‑defined benefits.
- Establish and enforce policies, standard operating procedures, and operational governance; challenge and optimize processes.
- Drive process improvements and scope expansions; lead strategic initiatives and projects.
- Implement quality assurance and error‑prevention; monitor metrics, scorecards, and evaluate results against goals.
- Build resiliency and continuity plans for the benefits function.
- Partner with senior business leaders and HR to achieve objectives, resolve issues, and manage stakeholder communications.
- Leverage data management tools and practices to deliver insights and inform decisions.
- Develop capabilities through cross‑functional training and knowledge management across HR operations.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Ten years of experience in operations.
- Five years of people management with responsibility for operational delivery.
- Extensive experience in statutory and regulatory reporting requirements within benefits or HR operations.
- Strong leadership with ability to coach, develop, and performance‑manage teams.
- Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across varying organizational levels.
- Sound judgment to independently resolve day‑to‑day Asia Pacific benefits operational issues.
- Effective multitasking, project management, and stress‑management skills in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced critical thinking and problem‑solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience leading Asia Pacific benefits administration and navigating country‑specific regulations.
- Hands‑on experience managing benefits vendors, SLAs, and operational KPIs.
- Background in audit management, evidence collection, and control design/testing.
- Proficiency with data management and analytics tools (e.g., advanced Excel or BI dashboards) to produce data‑driven insights.
- Experience building resiliency, continuity, and knowledge‑management frameworks for HR operations.
- Experience developing policies, SOPs, and cross‑functional training programs.
- Familiarity with payroll‑benefits interfaces and related controls.
