Description

MEDICAL STAFF:
* We are seeking 15 licensed medical professionals who are suitably qualified to monitor and care for the health and well-being of our campers and staff members.
* In the past, our medical staff have included RNs, NPs, PAs, LPNs, EMTs, MDs, and nursing students, all of whom had experience with children and young adults in the areas of health and medical emergencies.
* Our staff respond to campers with sensitivity, and have the ability to enjoy working with them daily.
* 2, 4, 6, and 8-week positions available.

THE HEALTH CENTER:
* One Health Center on each campus (Junior Campus and Teen Campus).
* Private bedroom with private bathroom for each medical staff member.
* The Health Centers are typically staffed with a total of 8 nurses & 2 assistants.
* Staffed 24 hours a day.
* Equipped to provide first-aid and minor treatment.
* Modern & comfortable, featuring a treatment room, isolation room, separate sleeping quarters (with private bathrooms) for boys and girls, and a kitchenette;
* Both Health Centers feature internet access.

Requirements

MEDICAL STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES:  
* Provide medical, health, educational, and professional guidance to both campers and the camp staff;
* Maintain a healthy camp population by promoting and stressing good health habits;
* Prevent incidence and spread of disease;
* Alleviate accidents by promoting and enforcing the camp's safety and health policies;
* Provide an active presence in the camp community and interact with campers;
* Supervise sanitation and safety practices throughout the camp;
* Prepare quality reports and maintain accurate records of all injuries, illnesses, medications administered, and treatments rendered;
* 'Sick Call' takes place after each meal and again at bedtime.
* Assist in the 24-hour supervision of the Health Center;
* Work together as a team with the other nurses;
* Possess a good sense of humor, and the ability to laugh!

60+ ACTIVITY INSTRUCTOR POSITIONS:
We are seeking multi-talented enthusiastic individuals who can provide quality instruction from beginner to advanced levels in two or more activities.  Instruction is geared to the camper's individual skill level, and is patient and thorough with due regard for both safety and enjoyment. 
LAND SPORTS ACTIVITIES:  Aerobics, archery, badminton, baseball, basketball, bubble soccer, cheerleading, dodgeball, exercise and fitness, extreme bungee jumping, fencing, field hockey, floor hockey, flag football, frisbee, gaga, golf, gymnastics, horseback riding, inline skating, jogging, judo, karate, kickball, lacrosse, martial arts, newcomb, paintball, ping-pong, riflery, roller hockey, rugby, skateboarding, soccer, softball, tennis, tetherball, t-ball, touch football, track meets, video game room, volleyball, weight training, and wrestling. 
WATER SPORTS ACTIVITIES:  American Red Cross swim instruction, recreational swimming, competitive swimming, water ballet, water polo, water volleyball, water basketball, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, row boating, pedal boats, paddle boards, windsurfing, fishing, tubing, intercamp swim meets, scuba diving clinics, polar bear club, and canoe/rafting trips. 
CREATIVE ARTS ACTIVITIES:  Arts & crafts, pottery (throwing pots), pottery wheel operation, ceramics (glazing & firing), kiln operation, clay work (sculpting), t-shirt creations (tye dyeing, air brushing, fabric painting, & silk screening), painting (water color & acrylics), drawing, sketching (charcoal pencils), jewelry making, beading, basket weaving, lanyards & braiding, leather craft, macramé, paper mache & plaster projects, wood projects, copper enameling, block printing, needle craft, mask making, decoupage, model rocketry, nature crafts and cooking classes. 
PERFORMING ARTS ACTIVITIES:  Drama (acting, improvisation, set design & construction), music (guitar & keyboards), singing and chorus, dance (ballet, social, jazz, tap, modern), yoga, zumba, aerobics, theatre productions, talent shows, trips to local theatres.
EQUESTRIAN ACTIVITIES:  Horseback Riding instruction in English & Western styles from beginner to advanced levels, trail rides, horse jumping, intracamp horse shows, intercamp horse shows, evening trail rides, horseback overnights, horse-care instruction, and petting zoo (miniature horse, goats, calf, bunnies, etc). 
ADVENTURE & WILDERNESS ACTIVITIES:  High and low ropes course, rock climbing, rappelling, zip line, ATV Honda quad riding, mountain biking, nature hikes, compass reading, cabin cookouts, overnight camping, petting zoo, backpacking trips, canoe/rafting trips, survival clinics, and more.  
TRAPEZE & CIRCUS ACTIVITIES:  High-flying trapeze, 2 low-flying single trapeze rigs, spanish web, silks, lyra, cradle, trapeze performances, intercamp trapeze competitions, and circus acts including diabolo, juggling, plate spinning, devil sticks, unicycling, acrobatics, clowning, rolling globe, and stilt walking. 
MEDIA ARTS ACTIVITIES:  Radio DJ broadcasting, music DJ, video camera filming, photography, and camp newspaper.
TRAPEZE & CIRCUS ACTIVITIES:  High-flying trapeze, 2 low-flying single trapeze rigs, spanish web, silks, lyra, cradle, trapeze performances, intercamp trapeze competitions, and circus acts including diabolo, juggling, plate spinning, devil sticks, unicycling, acrobatics, clowning, rolling globe, and stilt walking.
