PositionThe College of Pharmacy at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is seeking exceptional applicants to join our faculty. This is an open rank full-time 12-month (non- tenure track) faculty position for individuals ideally specializing in ambulatory care. Other therapeutic and clinical areas may be considered for excellent candidates. This faculty position will reside in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administrative Sciences. The successful candidate in a Clinician Educator track position will establish an active clinic site that will also serve to precept APPE students (~50% effort). In addition, the faculty member is expected to mentor pharmacy residents as appropriate. Candidates will be expected to contribute to the scholarly and service missions of the College (~30% effort). A significant part of the service mission will be in the Office of Experiential Education and in particular preceptor and experiential site development. Academic responsibilities include teaching in the didactic professional curriculum (20% effort). Additional responsibilities include contributing to the vision, mission, and strategic plan of the College; mentoring, supervising and evaluating the activities and performance of students, residents, and support staff as appropriate. The individual will be expected to collaborate with other faculty and share the University and College’s values.

Minimum Qualifications
•Earned Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited institution
•Completed post-doctoral residency training or equivalent experience
•Evidence of teaching experience
•Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist in the state of New Mexico.

A Profile of the UNM College of Pharmacy
Located in the historically rich and culturally diverse Southwest, the College of Pharmacy is part of the Health Sciences campus and works collaboratively with the School of Medicine, College of Nursing, UNM Hospitals, and UNM Cancer Research and Treatment Center in the state’s largest health complex. The College holds the distinction of having the most ethnically diverse student body in the nation. Unique programs within the College include the New Mexico Poison and Drug Information Center, UNM/NMSU Cooperative Pharmacy program, and the oldest training program in nuclear pharmacy in the country.

•     Experience working in area of specialty
•     A demonstrated record of teaching experience and mentoring in a relevant academic environment 
       with diverse groups of students
•     Evidence of excellent written and verbal communication skills
•     Evidence of scholarship
•     Evidence of leadership and committee service at the local and State level
•     Licensed as a Pharmacist Clinician in New Mexico
